Ballot, Bullet and Blood Shivam Raghuwanshi & Shubham Tiwari. The documentary Ballot, Bullet, and Blood depict the atrocities of the violence that broke out after the ruling party won the West Bengal Assembly elections in 2021, specifically targeting the main opposition party. Women were raped, maimed, and killed. The offices were burned, and the employees and supporters were killed.

Additionally, the law-and-order apparatus made the decision to ignore the violence that was let loose and that also had communal overtones.

Ballot, Bullet and Blood Summary

Bengal’s post-election violence is heartbreaking and abhorrent. A risky precedent has been set for our democracy. This is against the Indian coexistence tradition. It should be seen as a national threat rather than merely a law and order issue that affects Bengal.

The citizens of the nation must take it seriously and force the constitutional machinery to end this threat. In my opinion, the authors have carried out their civic responsibility by attempting to expose the truth about Bengal.

This book is a fantastic effort by Shubham Tiwari and Shivam Raghuvanshi to catalog the crimes and introduce the undercurrents, especially communal ones, which were the driving forces behind the slaughter to a wider reading public and the world. They deserve congratulations! More success and strength in this endeavor for Shubham and Shivam.

Conclusion: The Slum Queen

The 2021 post-Assembly election violence is depicted in the novel “Ballot, Bullet and Blood” by Shubham Tiwari and Shivam Raghuwanshi as the most recent chapter in the state’s turbulent history. The cases are being litigated and are being heard by human rights organizations, and the thoroughly researched book leads one on an unhappy but essential path of knowledge.
