Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has undertaken an initiative to sell 1.5 million tricolor flags throughout the city. This effort, known as the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, is being led by the state government with the aim of ensuring that every household in the state proudly raises the tricolour flag.
Correspondingly, the BBMP has set a target of selling 1.5 million flags within its jurisdiction and has already procured two hundred thousand flags. The larger-sized flags are priced at Rs 25 each. The Department of Posts is also actively participating in various activities aligned with the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program.
Citizens are strongly encouraged to hoist the national flag on top of their homes from August 13 to 15. These flags are available for purchase at all post offices across the state, and postal workers have been entrusted with the responsibility of selling each flag for Rs 25. A total of around 800,000 flags have been distributed to all postal circles within Karnataka for sale.
