About The Author:-
Ashok Kumar graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi with a B. Tech. and an M. Tech. He joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1989 and has worked in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand on a variety of demanding missions. On deputation, he has also served with the CRPF and the BSF. He is currently the Director-General of Police of Uttarakhand.
Prior to this post, he served as the Chief of Intelligence and Security as well as the Director-General of Law and Order in Uttarakhand. In 2001, he was awarded the United Nations Medal for his service in conflict-torn Kosovo. In 2006, he received the Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Services, and in 2013, he received the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Services.
He is the author of the ground-breaking book “Human in Khaki” (Khaki Mein Insaan), which got the GB Pant Award from the Ministry of Home Affairs Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) (MHA). ?Cracking Civil Services – The Open Secret’ and ?Ethics, Integrity, and Aptitude’ are two of his most recent works.
Vipul Anekant earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur. He attended Mumbai’s Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). In 2012, he became a member of DANIPS. He is currently assigned to the Delhi Police as the ACP, Model Town, North West District.
Previously, he worked for the Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu as ACP, Economic Offences Wing, Delhi Police, and as SP, Diu Island and SDPO-Daman/Khanvel with the Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
