?Half Baked Harvest Recipes Summary
In Kate Bowler’s bestselling memoir, Everything Happens for a Reason; readers saw how she dealt with a Stage IV cancer diagnosis as a divinity school professor and young mother; in her follow-up memoir, No Cure for Being Human, she unflinchingly and winsomely unpacked the ways that life becomes both complex and beautiful when we abandon certainty and the illusion of control.
Kate Bowler and co-author Jessica Richie now provide 40ish brief spiritual reflections in their first-ever devotional book on how we might make sense of life as a chronic condition rather than a pursuit of perpetual growth. This book is a great companion to have when you don’t want to feel guilty about not living your most incredible life right now.
Good Enough is permission for all those who need to hear that there are certain things you can fix?and some things you can’t. It’s written gently and with humor, and it’s also okay if life isn’t always pleasant. Bowler and Richie give fresh inspiration for how truth, beauty, and significance might be discovered among the chaos of life in these beautifully written observations.?
Their words celebrate kindness, honesty, and interdependence in a culture that encourages cutthroat individualism and naive optimism. Finally, we can find inspiration in these pages to strive for the best that today has to offer while also acknowledging that, despite our limitations, the life ahead of us can be wonderful.
