राजस्थान के सीकर ज़िले में पैदा हुए राहगीर एक घुमक्कड़ कलाकार हैं। देश भर घूमने, जीवन-समाज को क़रीब से देखने तथा महसूसने का इनका अनुभव इनके गीतों, कविताओं और कहानियों में दृष्टिगोचर होता है। राहगीर ख़ुद के लिखे हिंदी गीतों के अलावा राजस्थानी, हिमाचली, पंजाबी आदि भाषाओं में लोकगीत भी गाते हैं।
अपने सच्चे-सरल लेखन और गायकी से इन्होंने पूरे देश का दिल जीता है। ‘फूलों की लाशों में ताज़गी चाहता है’, ‘तुम पकड़ के गाड़ी मेरे गाँव आओगे’, ‘जाहिलों का कोई शहर नहीं, क्या जयपुर क्या दिल्ली’ और ‘कैसा कुत्ता है’ जैसे गीत लोगों की ज़ुबान-ज़ुबान पर हैं।
अब तक इनके तीन एल्बम और 35 से अधिक गीत रिलीज़ हो चुके हैं। यह इनका पहला कविता-संग्रह है।
