Shuna’s Journey Books Summary
Shuna Slime, the prince of an impoverished kingdom, watches helplessly as his people toil away, gathering the few grains that grow there. It isn’t long before he meets Thea, a confident young lady. Her adversaries pursue Shuna after rescuing her from captivity, and while Thea flees north, Shuna proceeds west, eventually reaching the Land of the God-Folk.

Hayao Miyazaki was born in 1941 in Tokyo, Japan, and cofounded Studio Ghibli with Isao Takahata in 1985. Spirited Away (2001), one of his eleven animated films, shattered every box office record in Japan and was awarded the Golden Bear at the 2002 Berlin International Film Festival and the 75th Academy Awards for Animated Feature Film.
At the 2004 Venice International Film Festival, Howl’s Moving Castle won the Golden Osella award. At the 2005 Venice International Film Festival, Miyazaki received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement. The 86th Academy Award for Animated Feature Film was given to The Wind Rises (2013). In 2014, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Board of Governors honored him with the Governors Award for lifetime accomplishment.
