About The Author:-

Vijay Gokhale served in the Indian Foreign Service for nearly four decades, retiring as Foreign Secretary in January 2020. For most of his diplomatic career, he focused on China-related issues.

Between 1982 and 2017, he worked in Hong Kong, Taipei, and Beijing, as well as at various levels in New Delhi, where he gained insight into Chinese negotiating behavior.

Since 2000, he has had personal experience conducting discussions with China on a variety of subjects, including some of the topics covered in this book. He now resides in Pune with his wife, Vandana, and focuses his studies on China.
